Allow me to introduce myself!

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am so excited to work with you and your child this year! It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning and lots of adventures! I thought you might like to know a little bit about me.

I am married to my amazing husband, Dax, and we have a 3 year old daughter, Journey, who brings us SO much joy and laughter! We also have the most adorable, fluffy black cat named Rufus who acts more like a dog. I enjoy spending most of my time with my family, but some hobbies that I enjoy are hiking, renovating, and DIY-ing. Pinterest is my guilty pleasure!

I grew up in the little city of Glen Carbon, Illinois and I moved down to the south to attend SCAD for my undergraduate degree. I graduated with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design before receiving my M.A.T. in Early Childhood Education from Armstrong State University. Between degrees, I was given the opportunity to travel the world to 11 other countries and teach. It was during that time that I realized teaching was my true passion and the rest is history!

This will be my second year teaching 3rd grade at MES. Before last year, I taught 2nd grade for 5 years near Savannah, Georgia. It is my mission to instill a love of learning in all of my students. I love to teach with passion in all the subject areas and I desire for all students to develop a life-long love of learning!

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need! I look forward to a great year together!
