I hope you all had a fantastic track out and a wonderful holiday season! I really enjoyed hearing stories about trips around the world, exciting presents and LOTS of time with families and loved ones upon the students' return. We have lots of things coming up. Please read on!
NC Check-In
Tomorrow morning, Tuesday, January 7, we will have our 2nd NC Math Check-In which will assess how students mastered the 2nd quarter math standards. We began reviewing those standards before track out and played a review game one last time today to prepare. Please make sure your child gets an adequate amount of sleep and a nice breakfast tomorrow so that they can do their best!
Quarter 3 Specials
The Q3 Specials Calendar has been updated on the schedule page of our website and was sent home last week.
Q3 Homework
This quarter, we'll be using ReadWorks for the majority of our literacy homework. Students can log in and read an Article-A-Day, as well as respond to the article on the homework sheet. This homework sheet will last 2 whole weeks. For the first week, students can choose one side of the paper to complete Monday-Thursday homework. The following week, this paper will return home and students will complete the second side with new articles from ReadWorks.
Please work with your student to check and make sure they're using their RACE writing as much as possible. Our writing have gotten stronger just since the beginning of the year!
